Praxeology
I have a simple question: What is the best air cooling setup for the 900D and how/where are the 15 fans... Mounted? Why is this topic not discussed anywhere on the internet? I would like to get it answered for anyone who has, or will, look for this information in the future. All that is ever said on the matter is, "Supports 15 fans... And back to you Olly!" I am aware that spending $350 on an air-cooled case is silly, thus why it isn't discussed, but I like the 900D's aesthetics, space, and the fact that it's Corsair. Can anyone fully answer this question, hopefully with pictures, as I doubt Corsair will release a blog featuring 15 AF series mounted in the best case on the market? Thanks a bunch, - Prax ::pirate:: Edit: I have finally found one source, consisting of a picture, that demonstrates what a 900D would look like in my scenario. I have 2 remaining questions: can this case fit 2 Corsair AX 1200i in such a configuration (as I do not believe one could run 4-way SLI/CF, along with the rest of a big build's goodies)? Secondly, did the boys at hardocp take anything off (besides the front panel obviously) of the 900D to get this setup to work? http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/5483/gcso.jpg

Yes, it's possible to ount 2 ax1200i's and it is possible to run 4x SLI/CF in that case. As far as air cooling is concerned, setting fans up in a traditional config will be just fine. With a case that large it's going to be pretty tough to heat up that much of a volume of air to where it would hamper any sort of cooling.

So in that picture, full of fans, your saying you're sure 2 ax1200i's could still fit in the case?
Keltik
15 fans? I count 19 in that pic.. 8 side mounted on the bottom, 7 on the top, 3 front and one rear.

I know, thats confusing also; but with 15 or 18 fans can it still fit 2 PSU?
GTXJackBauer
Yes. Its configured to run 2 PSU's if needed. You remove a cover for a 2nd PSU installment. Here's a picture showing 2 PSUs for example in this Thread.

I know 2 will fit in an EMPTY 900D the question is will 2 PSU fit in a more realistic scenario with a radiator there.

You still can fit 2 PSUs and 2 120.2 radiators at the bottom for a total of 120.4 of rad space. Than add a radiator 120.3/120.4 up top, 120.2 in the front (assuming you're only using SSDs as you can place them flat in the back and 120.1 in the back. Should take care of your Quad-SLI + CPU cooling.

That's disappointing to know. For a 350$ case you should be able to FULLY utilize its capability under all scenarios. If you can't then the case is not designed to be fully utilized. ChoPPerNZ
Was also wondering about the air cooling potential of this case, thinking about selling my Haf-X and getting the 900D as it looks like a grown-ups case and i,m 43 lol, I have 780s in sli and the H100i on a 3930k cpu, 2xwd 1tb hard-drives and a Samsung 840pro 256gb SSD should i just keep Haf-x as it keeps my parts nice and cool..just hate its looks:sigh!:
