H100i not detected, custom curves not working, and LEDs not remembering!

Hey guys,

Just a few (hopefully!) quick questions.

First is Corsair Link doesn't seem to be able to detect my h100i. I have tried with it connected to a mobo header, to a rear USB port, with it connected directly to the Commander via an IC2 cable, and combinations of the above!

That's my device manager, I know some of the USB hubs are showing up as not working, but I'm 90% certain they're the USB3.0 ones, so shouldn't affect this! :/

My next question is about custom fan curves

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but in the above picture the highlighted fan should be responding to changes in the GPUs temperature.

This is, however, very much not the case!

You can imagine how annoying this is. I do a lot of video editing, and when I have to remember to change the GPU and CPU fans before I start rendering it gets quite tiresome and I have on more than one occasion forgot!! :/

My final question is about LEDs, I have my LEDs set to respond to changes in the GPU and CPU temperature. This works perfectly up until I restart my PC, then I have to load up the Link software and change the LEDs off of temp mode, and back to it otherwise they just stay as default blue.

And just for luck you can have an expanded device view just so you can see what firmware versions I'm on

And no, I don't have AIsuite installed! :D

Thanks in advance for all the help!

Chris

EDIT - Just found out that I'd missed a set of drivers during install, and it was definitely USB3.0 hubs showing as bad in devmgmt.msc. I've now got no yellow triangles! :D But :( that it wasn't a really simple fix!

You cannot have the IC2 cable connected at the same time as the USB Cable one or the other at one time the other connection must be open at the pump. If its still not detecting I would try it on another Internal USB port

Just tried every combination again, and I've managed to get the H100i working when connected to an internal USB2.0 header.

I still can't seem to get it functioning by the IC2 cable, but that's not a big issue. I have no use for the internal headers, so I'm happy with it as is for now! Is this still a known bug? I thought it was fixed in the latest firmware...

Any ideas for the other issues? We seem to have managed to solve the least problematic of the issues! :/

Thanks,

Chris

ARGH!! I'm so frustrated with this product! Now I had an issue with my CPU and GPU temps are not updating. Okay, a simple reboot fixed that!

But custom curves are still not working! What is the point of a (rather expensive) fan controller if I can't set custom curves!?! Or any sort of curves for that matter!

I honestly don't know why I didn't just stick with AIsuite!!

I'm just so confused right now about how some people have been having such enjoyable experiences with Link, and so far it's been nothing but heart ache for me!

There is still an issue with the software when trying to setup custom fan curves based on GPU or CPU temps, so I would let it control the fans on the cooler with its default by Fluid temp, and I would suggest using the latest Beta version of our software Ver. 2.4.4948.

I'm on 2.3.3938 :(

Oh, looks like I'll just have to stick with water temps for now then! Kinda sucks! :(

Any ideas on the LEDs remembering what I told them to do?

Please remove any saved profiles and then reset to default and close Corsair Link and do not save anything on exit. Then go to Programs and features and uninstall the Corsair Link software and then uninstall Corsair USB dongle and restart Windows.

Then down load Corsair Link Software Update Beta Version 2.4.4948 to a directory on your HDD not to the desktop and then right click on the install file and run as an administrator.

I meant 2.4.4948 (I don't think there was a .3948 release...)

Is that really going to be the solution every time a problem come up? I think in the 3 or 4 months I've had Link I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it more than just about every other bit of software on my PC COMBINED!

I want to say I'm not frustrated with you RAM GUY. You do a fantastic job here, I'm just a little bit annoyed at the situation Corsair have put you and the rest of the support staff in. This software was clearly not fit for a public release. If I'd have known I was going to be participating in a public beta I certainly would have thought twice before deciding to invest in Link!

Do we have any news on when there will be a new release that addresses some of these issues?

Well despite my rant I've just tried everything you ask, and custom curves (all set to the H100i's water temp) are still *not* working. I'm genuinely considering plugging everything back into the motherboard and since I'm in the UK returning this under the Sales of Goods Act since it's clearly not "fit for purpose"

Right,

Could someone please explain to me what I'm doing wrong here. This curve was set up on a completely clean install of Link (no leftover profiles, and a completely cleared registry), and as you can see it most definitely is not working!
