Zeroz
Hi there. Can it really be true, that Razer is the only one offering a mechanical keypad? Like the Razer Tartarus? http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-keyboards-keypads/razer-tartarus Are you REALLY gonna let a company like Razer beat you on this one? I hope NOT! :) Please start developing a keypad. :)
Administrators Technobeard Posted August 21, 2013 Administrators Share Posted August 21, 2013 Can't say I've ever met someone who's used one of those.
Cornbane
Logitech has one as well. I like them because they allow you to program buttons at your thumb and other fingers without having to move your hand from WASD like on gaming keyboards. I usually bind single tap macro sequences to the gamepad and stuff I hold down to the mouse.
Rooslin
The tartarus is a membrane keypad you are thinking of the orbweaver http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-keyboards-keypads/razer-orbweaver would be really cool to see corsair's take on the keypad (aesthetics). Cornbane
would be really cool to see corsair's take on the keypad (aesthetics). I second this. I didn't even know they made mice and keyboards until a couple of days ago and already their mice have made me waver as a Logitech user. They could probably make a good keypad. Zeroz
"Technobeard" well alot of us do. I use it for MMO games, like GW2. I can have most of my spells on my thump, and the rest on the Corsair M90 mouse. That means i don't have to move ANY of my fingers while playing. With a keyboard i would definently have to. I have a membrane keypad, and i want to upgrade to a mechanical. But if you would release one within 6 months, i would definently wait. But if not, i am forced to go Razer Again. The ones logitech make, is not mechanical. :(
Zeroz
Also, since you start making gaming peripherals, you CAN'T SKIP making the keypad. I am simply asking you to do it with Cherry MX red keys :)

DarkXoa
As an avid user of Corsairs peripherials, I, personally would LOVE to see a gaming keypad from Corsair. I currently use the M60 and K60, and when I build my new computer at the end of this year i have plans to upgrade to the K70 and M95. I love the Cherry MX Red switches that corsair uses on their keyboards. This point, in fact, is the source of my aprehension to spend $130 on one of Razer's keypads, which use blue switches of crappy membrane keys, or Logitech's G13 which doesn't use mechanical keys at all. As a sidenote, I created this forum account with the sole purpose of posting this idea in mind. I was pleasantly surprised to find that someone else had already created a thread on the subject. DarkXoa
You can also get the Orbweaver with brown switches in the Stealth version which i have sitting right here:P I saw the Orbweaver Stealth and had some problems with it still. The "highly customizable" palm and wrist rests only have about 3 settings that are pretty vastly differentThere are so many buttons on the damn thing that it is pretty pointlessWhile trying to make sure they encompassed all hand sizes, they seem to have forgotten about those of us with small hands. All in all, the Orbweaver looks like a bit of overkill to me. It doesn't matter how many extra buttons you have to program if you can't reach half of them, and i saw this situation on most of the big handed reviewers I watched as well. The customimzeability is a nice thought, but it makes no difference to people who have hand shapes and sizes that fall between settings, and every review I watched listed at least one dimension of adjustability that it was lacking. That being said. There is no doubt in my mind that the Orbweaver beats out it's non mechanical keyed predecesors as well as the G13 by at least tenfold, and in the event that Corsair gives a resounding "no" to this idea, the keypad on your desk will inevitably be the same as the one on mine. :(
decayo
I also registered an account just to suggest this and stumbled upon this thread. I own a K90, M90, MM200 Mouse pad, and 20 minutes ago I ordered a Vengeance 2100 headset. I never even intended to buy all Corsair stuff, but whenever I looked for a new peripheral, Corsair made the one I was most interested in. Actually, it's been a few months since I put together my PC build and while writing this post I thought to check, and I am also using Corsair memory and a Corsair H80i cooler with the fans replaced with a pair of Corsair SP120 fans. I guess I became some sort of Corsair collector without realizing it. The only odd duck in my setup now is a Razer Orbweaver. I've been using these gamepads since the first generation Belkin one. The Orbweaver is nice, but the Dpad that you use with your thumb is a squishy mess; it is no longer a real Dpad and it is impossible to use it with any accuracy. Please make a gaming keypad Corsair!
