MidnightNarwhal
Hey, I am gonna build a system in the air 540 (obviously XD) and I see there is no dust filters for the PSU intake. Is this bad? Will this result in any catastrophic results???
peanutz94
Is this bad? Will this result in any catastrophic results??? Umm....it's just dust. There are hundreds of cases on the market that don't include any filters at all. How could that result in a catastrophic failure?
MidnightNarwhal
Well I don't know, I see many cases with dust filters and this and that, maybe it was important, I know it must be really important for the 2 intake fans to have one,to not put dust on MOBO GPU and etc but the power supply, can the dust like, you know F it up? peanutz94
Apart from making your system look dirty, dust won't kill a MB, CPU, GPU or any other component. Dust filters are just to keep a nice looking system clean. And a clean system generally runs a bit cooler...until the dust filters clog up and then your temps rise anyway. Ahh it's a vicious cycle! But no, it's not going to hurt your PSU. Filters are there just to cut down on cleaning maintenance .
