Guppy
A few weeks ago I started a RMA to replace my PSU because my computer would turn off as if it was losing power (RMA# - 6068663). The RMA was approved and I spent £20 (which is 20% of the cost of purchasing a brand new one) shipping it from the UK to the Netherlands, even though the PSU was less than a year old. I received what appeared to be a brand new PSU. The problem is that when I play games with this new PSU I get this strange buzzing noise coming from it which can be heard over anything else. The fan judders about as if it wants to move but does nothing. I have seen other posts with this problem and checked the stickys to try to fix the problem to no avail. This has to be a problem with the new PSU as I did not previously have this issue with my old TX750M. The problem I face is that I have no desire to pay another £20 to ship this new PSU to the Netherlands therefore costing me 40% of a brand new PSU. I would also not like the PSU to overheat and burn down the house because the fan won't start up. I can provide a video of the problem if needed. How can I proceed? Thanks for any help. What you can do is call CS on Monday with your previous RMA number and let them know about the replacement. Also be sure to ask for a pre-paid shipping label . Corsair will pick up the shipping costs on second RMA's and also you can ask them about an advanced replacement too if you wish. You may have to ask tor tell them because they may not realize this is a second replacement. You can also request that they test your PSU before shipping back to you. Let us know how you make out or if you have any further questions.
Guppy
Just in case anybody was interested here is what has happened. I couldn't find a number to call Corsair expect the American number so I resorted to the online chat. I told the customer support employee everything that had happened and he agreed to a pre-paid shipping label and for my inconvenience actually upgraded me to a HX750! UPS picked up the faulty TX750M on Friday 23rd August and a few hours ago I received the HX750. Overall I have been pretty happy with the service. Now to test out this bad boy out with some games!
