Have they solved the lroblem with H100i?

I planned on getting a H100i on my first gaming rig. I saw people, alot in fact, who had problems with it, they needed to buy washers because the backplate was loose on their MOBOs, thus having extreme temps on non OCed CPUs. I want to make sure the problem is ''patched'' because I am not the one building it, NCIX wi be. I will be fitting in on a MSI Z87 G45. Thanks!

the washer ordeal was due to users that didnt know exactly how the cooler mounted.the backplate is designed to be a tad loose to aid in mounting the hydro, once mounted ,it got tight.

and not to bash anyone but many problems here are user related as these coolers are a little above the novice user,Corsair is aware of this and are in the process of making a more detailed user manual.

hope this helps.

I have to disagree wytnyt, I am sure some are "user related" but there are exceptions. We've seen it many times here.

The issue with the washers is due to some MB's being made from a thinner PCB. The back plates are indeed supposed to be loose until properly mounted. But some boards just wont tighten up all the way without the washers.

If your "assembly team" is any good this should be a moot point if they are aware of it before hand. I'm sure NCIX has installed hundreds of them!

Cheers!
