snyder17315
I just built a new system using a Gigabyte GA-Z77N-WIFI motherboard and Corsair Vengeance CML8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM. System went together smooth, but on boot I'm only seeing 1333 RAM speed instead of the 1600 speed. BIOS is set to default, with the X.M.P. active. I did disable it, but the RAM remains at 1333. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Turbonerfs101e
Hi snyder17315 This seem to be a Bios issue. Wath bios ore ususing? Last one is F3d and you could find it on this webpage. http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4337#bios Is XMP profile still dont worck you have to manualy set memnory spec to: 1600MHz at 9-9-9-24 with 1.5v and you have to set memory voltage up too 1.65v is it not stable. Hope this help Sincerly yours
peanutz94
If you disable the XMP profile it will default back to 1333mhz. To confirm it's running at 1600mhz, run CPUz and look at the memory tab. It should read 800mhz. DDR is double data rate so you would take your 800mhz and double it for 1600mhz. Please re-enable the XMP profile and test the system with memtest86+ (link is on the left) for stability. If it fails then manually set your DIMM voltage and retest. But with just an 8gig kit you shouldn't need to make any other adjustments except to enable the XMP profile.
cirial
Snyder, did you ever get this sorted out? I have the same issue with my CML8GX3M2A1600C9 only being able to boot at 1333mhz in an Asrock z77m. Anything higher and there is no post.
