holbie99
Hello, I purchased a voyager air last week. All went well with the set up. And have enjoyed filling it up with pics and videos. I am having a problem with the pass thru. When I see my modem I click on it and it asks me for the password. I enter this password and after about 20 sec. I get a message," cannot connect to network with password. Any help would be much appreciated.

Yellowbeard
Also, make sure you have the most recent firmware for your Voyager Air, available on our Voyager Air product page. If you update the firmware OR if you continue to have issues, try using the reset button on the bottom of your Voyager Air.

I have a WEP key. Talked with Verizon and they said the router I have does not support WPA2.
Yellowbeard
You have to unzip the zip file for the update to work.
holbie99
You have to unzip the zip file for the update to work. Sorry, my computer skills are limited but they are improving. The update was a success. However this did not help with my Pass Thru problem. I continue to get the message "can not connect with password". I am going to try and find an open network to see if this problem exists their as well. Thank you again for you help. The Voyager Air is great other than this problem. alan sh
Reset your router. Make sure the wireless security protocol is set using WPA2 and try again. Are you saying it doesn't support WEP? That would explain why it doesn't connect to one of my wifi routers but does to the other. Why the limitation? Alan
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 16, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 16, 2013 There are some major security holes with WEP and it also cause speed degradation. Since 2006, all Wi-Fi CERTIFIED products must use WPA2 security. I've only tested it with WPA2 so far but I will check with our Voyager Air team to see if the wireless controller also supports WEP. Prokur
Hi guys, is there any good news regarding passthru of WEP WiFi connection? Due my network configuration's limitation, I can't switch it to anything more secure than WEP I just have bought Voyager Air in order to extend my existing WiFi network and now it seems that I cannot. Could you please fix firmware to make it possible to work with WEP networks? Thank you
Corsair Employees Corsair Shaman Posted November 4, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 4, 2013 The Voyager Air Wi-fi doesn't support WEP. I can't say if it will in the future.
