kkjalan
Hi, I had installed H80i on my system last Christmas, and every thing was perfect till now, when i installed the new corsair link 2, the cooler is not detected, the led is also not lighting up, though its working (its cooling the CPU). How to bring it back to life? Regards, Krishna

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 13, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 13, 2013 What version of our software are you using and what O.S.? I would suggest Ver. 2.4.4948 but before you install it please remove any saved profiles and then reset to default then close the software and do not save anything upon exit then go to Programs and features and uninstall the Corsair Link software then uninstall the Corsair USB Dongle and restart the system. Then down load the version listed above and save it to a directory on your HDD NOT The Desktop. Right click on the Install file and run as an administrator. Also I had created a Ticket # 6081868 for the same on 13-8-2013, can the same be converted to a RMA?

Also i dont have the orginal packing, so will i be responsible for the product getting damaged while shipment? Also i dont have the fans which came in the original set, i had replaced them with Noctua NF-P12 PWM.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 22, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 22, 2013 I am sorry but you will need to find the original fans or it will hold up the RMA. Where did you purchase the Cooler from a reseller or another user? And we only have a HUB in Taiwan or in Hong Kong sorry!

Where did you purchase the Cooler from a reseller or another user? And we only have a HUB in Taiwan or in Hong Kong sorry! In that case I have to live with defuct cooler and hope it doesn't stop cooling the CPU any time soon. Surprised that RMA for the liquid cooler would be rejected for changing the fans on radiators!!!!, guess you guys should mention it on the warranty card that changing of the fans will result in warranty being rendered void. Never again buying or suggesting any friend any corsair product, pathetic service.
wytnyt
kkjalan having a complete unit returned for warranty is the only way Corsair can get a reimbursement from their supplier . its a normal practice among any business as they do have to maintain a profit margin so we can continue to buy their products. NothinPersonal
I had a similar problem to yours. Look at the tiny thin connector plugged into the H80i. Not the usb one but the other one. The pins might have came out when you removed the connector and hastily pushed them back in and plugged it back in heatsink/pump. Even though the heatsink/pump is working it the sensor will either not show or read incorrectly. If the tiny metal connectors are showing you will need a safety pin sanded to a blunt point to push them all the way into the connector until they no longer show out of the connector. Then restart machine. Delete all profile in software and log off or restart. It will show when you launch the software as it did mine.

Hi I never asked for the new fans anyway? so why require the fan to be shipped? also cost of sending the cooler and fans and receiving them back would be almost equal to buying a new cooler,

kkjalan
the fans are included and tailored for the coolers their a set and cant be bought separately.,which is why the fans were sent and needed for a rma... Dont get the logic, if a part of the whole thing is faulty, why send the whole thing, when they can be easily disassembled and assembled, its like sending the whole Destop Unit for a faulty HDD, when the goods are transported, however well they are packed, they come under stress ( i mean shocks and shakes). Why to risk sending a good component through that stress, also who will be responsible in case they are physically damaged?
