Liquid Blitz
Hey guys, I've had the Corsair Vengeance 2000 headset for about 3 weeks now and generally I love it. However, I'm having a major problem with Mic volume. No matter what I do the microphone is just too quiet. With Mic volume set to max in the software, max in Windows etc the output is too quiet. I am a semi-professional gamer so this is quite a serious problem for me and if the problem can't be helped I really will have no choice but to go with a different brand/headset, which I really don't want to do because I love the sound quality and comfort of these. I understand this headset has no mic-boost functionality so it is what it is. This volume issue isn't AS much of a problem in programs like Team-speak and Mumble, because these have settings to boost the mic volume. But even then it is still too quiet, and I'm constantly getting people asking me to turn my mic up because they can't hear me, even though it's on the maximum of the maximum. Tried: Different USB Ports, reinstalling drivers/software. FYI - my system generally has the latest drivers for everything, I keep things pretty up to date. So yeah, what's the issue with mic volume? Soulless
yupp, same issue here and its one of the main issues im having with the headset. everything cranked up to max and still very quiet. im on a 2 week period where, as long as i dont physically damage anything, i can use it and still return it to the store for a refund. so im highly interested in seeing what corsair have to comment here on the forums, both the plastic cracking issue aswell as the drivers and options. 2 weeks to decide to keep them or return them.
