genze
Edit: Have had a change of heart. Leaving my posts up for people going through a similar process of outrage/acceptance. :sunglasse I'm sure I'm not the first to post something along these lines but it needs to be repeated until you listen: First of all, you had the mechanical keyboard debacle with the mixture of membrane and mechanical switches. You fixed that after the backlash. Now you're going to be offering the K70 in brown and blue switches (which is a great move) but in... "gunmetal grey." Are you serious? Nobody wants a "gunmetal grey" keyboard. Your K95 and K70 keyboards look fantastic in black. Why would you ever throw "gunmetal grey" of all color schemes into the mix? It seems like you're arbitrarily trying to push people's buttons. First with the membrane/mechanical mess and now with this color scheme bull. It's almost like you're sitting there, saying to yourselves, "We have some GREAT product ideas. Now, how can we ruin them and piss people off?" Give the people what they want. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 13, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 13, 2013 If you look on other threads, people like the black on red, some prefer black and blue, some prefer black and white, others silver and red, etc. Its not "trolling." Preferences are clearly subjective, and many of our customers prefer the gunmetal to the black/silver as an addition. I personally thought black would be best but if you look at the gunmetal on the K50, for example, it looks fantastic.
genze
I hear you but it's just the fact that gunmetal grey doesn't really go with any accessories that people are buying. Any company wants to stick out, sure, but in a negative way? For the most part, when I see people reviewing or going for the silver K70, I see reviews saying "I don't really game but..." so they're using it for office use, etc. Thing is, this is branded as a gaming keyboard and they seem to be trying to appeal to non-gamers. Anyway, I really hope they at least offer the WASD and arrow keys in regular black, too, instead of sticking us with grey key caps and no other option (a la K65). Kind of like how they offer the swappable rubberized "FPS keys" for the current K70.
rashdanml
Gunmetal grey looks so close to Black, anyway. Sure, it's not anodized black, but looks black unless you're right up close to it.

I may be having a change of heart on the gunmetal grey after reading your post and rewatching some Youtube videos. I'll leave my posts up for posterity.
