H80i issues

I am not 100% sure whats going on because I built the computer for a friend who is terrible at explaining things and not very advanced with computers.

But We installed it and it idles around 10C and when I did a stress test on the CPU it wouldn't go over 32C under full load. This is awesome but I see alot of people showing higher temps so is this how its supposed to be?

The real issue now is that its been running great for a few days but he said its now showing a notice upon first login to windows that his CPU is running like -30C and at some -voltage number. At least that's what I can make of his computer illiterate jumbo. So is there a malfunction where its not reading right or is just needing to fully initialize on startup?

theres no way these readings are correct, what you see others have are the normal

why your friends are so low ,one can only speculate without at least a little info.a screen shot of link and its devices page would help.you can check to see what other monitoring programs are installed as this can confuse readings.looking in your bios will show more accurate temps.

Unless you live in a Fridge 10C Idle sounds pretty wrong.

The CPU temperature cannot be lower than ambient room temperature. Say for example you room temperature is 22C then maybe your CPU would Idle at 30C. If your Idle temperature is 10C then your room temperature might be 0C which in my opinion would be a little cold for you to be in. :-) (Or maybe thats the best way to cool a computer)

It sounds like you have to add 20C to your readings to get the correct figures. Why its doing this.. Its impossible to say really.

speccy and corsairlink shouldnt cause problems with corsairlink although you may get wrong motherboard temp on speccy if corsairlink is running...although aisuite on the other hand DONT RUN WITH CORSAIRLINK causes LOTS of problems

Ok so I uninstalled AI Suite 2 and the computer is rebooting. I will see if Corasir link will show everything again.

One thing to note is that I looked in AI Suite and it showed the computer was idling at 28C so thats more likely? Hopefully With AI suite gone it will show correct readings in Corsair Link?

im getting ready for bed but it sounds like your not fully doing a uninstall, particularly the profiles

do this

go to add/remove programs and remove usb dongle, then uninstall corsairlink2

then go to c:/programs/x86 and delete corsair folder

then go to

start menu/current user/appdata/roaming/corsair and delete corsair folder

then do a coldboot

now install Version 2.3.4816 and see if that fixes things...
