PSU and possible damaged components

I had a power supply blow on me a few weeks ago, Corsair were very quick on replacing the TX850, thanks for that. Now next week I'll be rebuilding the old rig, AMD 965 black, 16gig of ddr3, 2x4890'sATi and an asus HDAV1.3 slim, now I know I'm getting ahead of myself BUT if of any of these components are broken, who do I contact, most things are out of warranty and were working perfectly before the PSU blew.

I'm hoping nothings broken but I'm thinking 'what if'?

I'm not sure you can do anything about it now. Those components should have been tested as soon as the PSU blew. Then you could have requested a damage claim form with your RMA.

About the best advice I can offer is to get your components tested as soon as possible and contact CS if there is any issues. I just think you waited too long to be able to do anything about it now since your RMA claim has been processed and closed.

Sure, no problem.

If your previous PSU just died, i really think your other components are just fine. Most of the time a PSU just dies a quiet painless death and any over current protection should have kicked in to prevent damage to your other components.

Now if it went up in smoke and you have burnt cables or connectors that would be another story.

If by chance you do have damaged components you could try calling CS and explain the situation.

Well the power supply came (yay) and there's a case on its way. It's coming from Germany so I'll have a to wait a few days. Hopefully I'll update soon, I've had to hide all the parts anyway, I've had my girlfriends 4 year old daughter staying the past few days.

How much energy do kids have? :D:
