Theis
Hello. First a quick back story for this; Some time ago I finally started to get my cable management in my case to look more clean. While doing this, I sadly realized that some of the cables were either too short or too long, so I decided to research about making my own wires for this. So, questions; 1. Am I even allowed to use cables that is not made by Corsair, but instead made by me.(Would this make the warranty useless?) 2. I read that the wire used for the custom cables is mainly the UL1007, is there any other cable that would work just as good? Or does the wire really not matter, as long as it's the correct gauge. Thanks a lot for your time.
peanutz94
1. Am I even allowed to use cables that is not made by Corsair, but instead made by me.(Would this make the warranty useless?) No, the use of any other cables or custom made cables will void your warranty. The only exclusion to this would be the Corsair single braids. 2) There are different types of wire within that UL 1007 spec. But just about anything rated for the same voltage/amperage and size should suffice. http://www.awcwire.com/productspec.aspx?id=ul-style-1007-1569
