jkk1989
I just got a new H80i, but the pump is noisy. It happens about 50% of the time I turn on the machine, other times it runs properly. I have noticed that when it happens my bios is writing CPU Error and pump flashes red, then I can reboot and then run it as it should. The error occurs even if I disconnect the fans from power. Corsair Link says the pump runs with 2100rpm What is the problem? :-( Take a look at this video, and turn the volume up a little. http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=20qgahh&s=
ChettManly
Mine does this as well, but only after the pump first starts running. When the pump gets up to speed it's quiet, but at 500rpm or so (which it does at startup) it's probably even more noisy than yours.
wytnyt
you can go into bios and lower your rpm threshold and this should take care of the cpu error.as far as the noise, you have to decide if its too much and if a rma is needed as noise is very subjective... Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted August 12, 2013 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 12, 2013 The noise at start up is not uncommon and I would not be to concerned but once its running it should be almost quiet.
