Threaded screw holes, have no grip, enought for rma?

I have a Corsair H100i where 2-4 of the holes for the screws on the side of the radiator with the hose dosn't have no grip or thighten it enought.

That means that one fan can't be mounted correctly on one side of the radiator

Instead of buying new fans because the standard fans are SO noisy, i bought a new non corsair cpu cooler, that is so much more quiet then the corsair H100i, the Noctua NF-F12 PWM fans wich many recommends, cost a bit more then my new cpu cooler, didn't want to buy them for a radiator where i am not 100% shure i could tighten the screws enough, so the fans are mounted perfectly without any ratteling do to screws not been tighten enough.

Many say new fans for the corsair H100i will make it more silent, if it will make mine more silent i don't know, would be a lot of money if it didn't get rid of my noise problem.

Even with both fans at 500 rpm i felt the corsair was noisy

Is my problems with the holes for the screws enought for me to rma my cpu cooler?

Can i test if my pump is noisy other then buying new silent fans? (that let me hear anything but the fans)

Yes, you can RMA for the screw holes. Just use the link on the left to request an RMA.

What should i rma, only the radiator or the whole cpu cooler, if i rma the radiator and are lucky to recive one, do i only get the radiator without the hose?

I didn't know, if i would get a whole new cpu cooler or just the radiator, have seen someone with a corsair H100 or H100i that has used transparent hoses.

I would also have guessed that if i got my cpu cooler rma'ed and got a replacemend unit that i would get a whole new cpu cooler

If i send my cpu cooler back i won't get refund for what i have to pay for shipping?

I ones had a problem with my logitech mouse and phoned logitech customer service and without sending my mouse back i got a new one (the warranty wasn't expired)

I hope they make the holes better and lets us have the "good" 120 sp pwm performance fans for the next version of the Corsair H100i, mabye the cooler would be 15€ more expensive, but much more silent and totally worth the extra money the better sp fans would cost.

Have seen alot of people on youtube and on forums that have exchanged the stock fans for something more quiet and that is more expensive then just paying the price difference theres is on the standard fans and the "good" 120 sp pwm performance fans, you also wouldn't be stock with 2 fans you wouldn't wanna use because they are to noisy

I gott this reply for my rma and i wnat to know waht i exactly must do

If for any reason they can't help you, or you'd rather replace it through us directly, please attach a copy of the receipt to the ticket and reply back to the ticket and we'll get it replaced.

So i have to take a copie of the receipt and attach the copy to my "rma" ticket? (it's in danish so it will be okay!)

Sorry for asking, it's my first rma and i just want to do it the right way, the first time

The cooler does not come apart! You need to send the entire unit, pump, fans, and all.

If you have separated them in any way you have voided your warranty and would not be able to RMA your unit.

I didn't know, if i would get a whole new cpu cooler or just the radiator, have seen someone with a corsair H100 or H100i that has used transparent hoses.

Those would be user modified units and have no warranty! The one your going to RMA has to be intact the way you recieved it to be able to have it replaced. And YES, you would receive a brand new sealed unit.

The new fans being shipped are a version of the SP120's. More or less just without the color rings. They have also been designed to provide a decent balance of noise and power to efficiently cool the CPU..

Everyone perceives noise differently, and personally , they don't bother me at all. I don't think they are any noisier than any of my other fans,(Corsair or otherwise) But again each individual is different so they may be loud to some. And that is the biggest reason others have chosen to change their fans.

One other thing to consider is that most "quiet" fans lack the power to be able to move air through the Radiator. Static pressure is far more important than just CFM .So , if you choose to replace them , make sure they are at least similar in specs to the Corsair fans.

I have rma'ed my corsair H100i because of the threaded screw holes i have on the side where theres a hose, dosn't have enough grip.

I am in a pain where i am thinking of NOT sending my cooler, because from denmark to holland the shipping, delivery costs is almost the same as a set of corsair sp 120 Quiet pwm fan (not much difference).

I would then buy the corsair 120 sp quiet pwm fans and use them on the side of the radiator where there threaded screw holes are okay (have had the std fans mounted this way, but i hate the sound from the standard fans).

I actually don't want to spend the money for the delivery costs to holland(so expensive), because i think it could solve my noise problem with the H100i standard fans, if i buy the 120 sp quiet fans, like in this review where they are much more quiet then the sp 120 performance fans and the standard fans, temperatures are very close

http://www.kitguru.net/components/cooling/henry-butt/corsair-h100-h100i-performance-comparison-with-sp120-fans/4/

I only want 2 fans for the cpu cooler, don't think push pull is worth the extra money, noise.

I want less then 70 degress (celsius) with my i7 870 oc'ed to 3.520ghz (bclk 160) have about 68 degress using an air cooler and prime 95 for 25-30 min and as low noise as possible.

I also want the long screws with a 1 or 2 mm lower head, the washer is almost the size the screws are to high (just touching my air chimmney on my nanoxia deep silence 1 case), are these screws with a lower head then the standard screws?

Gasolin, could you plesase keep all your questions and concerns to your original thread?

Much easier to follow instead of jumping back and forth.

If you want all those conditions above, you don't want an H100 at all. You need a custom loop.

In your case with the mounting holes screwed up there isn't much you can do BUT replace it.

There are no guarantees on your temps getting any better with different fans. All you can do is experiment.

EDIT: Please note, the "quiet"fans are a good case fan, but are not good for cooling. They don't have the static pressure needed to sufficiently cool the CPU.

I am not saying or wanting my temperatures to be better for my corsair H100i, but to be as as good as my current air cooler, in my link http://www.kitguru.net/components/cooling/henry-butt/corsair-h100-h100i-performance-comparison-with-sp120-fans/4/ the sp quiet is just 1-3 degress warmer then the sp performance but much more quiet

If your unit is less than 30 days old then you will need to contact CS by phone and ask them about helping wth the shipping charges.

You can find the number on the main website at the bottom under "company", then "contact"

You can also use SKYPE or any other VOIP app to make the call to the toll fre number for nothing.
