Finderw
Hi, Any plans to support exFAT in future firmware updates for the Voyager Air? I was reading this press release about the Paragon software the Voyager Air uses and was curious why it didn't support exFAT if the Paragon software supports it: http://www.paragon-software.com/news.htm?id=0237 Thanks! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 7, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 7, 2013 Yes, it will support NTFS, HFS+ and exFAT.
Finderw
It doesn't seem to work with exFAT when I have tried it. When I format the partition as exFAT and load files onto it the drive will see the partition but when you view it there are no files listed. Additionally, if I try and upload a file it will say: Unable to upload the selected file(s). Any ideas? Tried doing the exFAT format on both a Mac and a Windows 8 PC and it didn't work either time. Yellowbeard
Purely out of curiosity, why are you wanting to use exFAT?
Finderw
Should have mentioned that earlier. exFAT has universal support in Windows and Mac OS X. So if I format the drive with exFAT I can have a single 1TB partition that I can read/write from on any Windows or Mac OS X machine. If I go with NTFS Mac OS can only read by default (without special drivers) and if I use HFS+ I can't even see the partition with Windows without special drivers. My work around was to have one NTFS partition and another HFS+ partition but it isn't a very good solution since getting files across the two cannot be done easily without special software. Having native exFAT support would just make it a lot easier to manage and have one big partition.

There are few questions I need to ask before we can try to replicate the issue on our side. - What is the Voyager Air apps version? - What is the firmware version? - What kind of files are you trying to upload from your mobile device to VA Drive? (assuming you tried uploading the files through wireless connection when you received that error message) Thanks.
Finderw
Hi - Using the Voyager Air (Apple iOS v1.2.9) version of the app for iPhone. I have firmware 1.2.7 installed on a 1TB version of the Voyager Air. I tried uploading a file from the camera roll - a JPG.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 8, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 8, 2013 Thanks Finderw. We just received additional information on this matter. The exFAT support for the app is on hold at this time with no timetable for implementation. We apologize for any inconvenience this have caused. In addition to this, ExFAT is supported only in USB mode. You can access and play your file only when the drive is connected through USB.
