bunja
Hi all, Obviously my first post, I have a question regarding my new AX860i, so far everything is working fine, only thing that is worrying me is that with the previous PSU when i would shutdown i had a little green light on my Sabertooth Z77 mbo, with AX860i when i shutdown the light is not on, other than that i see no problems, should i check something regarding that light? Otherwise, it seems normal even when shutdown, little fans on Saber that do overtime to cool the system work as intended and I can charge my phone even with system shutdown, I just don't understand why that light is not on. Thank you for you help.
peanutz94
Do you still have the other PSU to confirm it's the Corsair PSU thats doing this? I would think there wouldn't be any connection between the two and would more or less be board related. But then again I have seen stranger things happen! bunja
It is now in another computer. I would have to yank both of them out to do that, sooo...no. Everything seems to work ok, I was just curious about it why it does that. When i shutdown ther is a powerfull click but i huess thats normal
jlhawn
the green light on my asus board only goes out if I flip the switch on my AX1200 and then it takes 20 seconds. I only flip the switch if I am going to work inside the case. don't know why yours is going off as it sounds like it is still powering the board if you can charge your phone off a usb port. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted August 7, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted August 7, 2013 That is not uncommon there is a relay internally in the PSU and most switching PSU that may make that sound it just sounds like the unit you have louder than normal. You can request an RMA if you like but I doubt there is a problem with the PSU just a noisy relay.
