8 days and no response regarding RMA

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'd appreciate a response by a community member or Corsair Employee. I've submitted an RMA (over a week ago). I've followed up repeatedly. I have yet to receive a response from a human being.

Details:

The part (the h100i) fails to cool my CPU. It was working without incident for two months. Rather suddently, I noticed a lack of system stability. Looking at temps, I noticed the CPU idlying around 70-80 degrees C. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the part to no avail (adding thermal compound). The fans are running at normal speed, and the pump is running at normal speed. The unit is not leaking. I think it's obviously defective. (I've since [temporarily; due to the delay] replaced the cooler [no name due to forum rules]. The temps are now fine.) I still want the unit replaced.

The part has a D, standing for defective (or discontinued) I think, on it--if I was sold a defective/discontinued part I am not pleased with corsair (I bought the part as new; and I'm sure the box says 100i).

What I find irksome is that the original RMA I sent was automatically responded to. The email stated that a tech support person would get back to me within one day. Despite repeatedly following-up, I've had no (non-automated) responses. It's 9 days later. Is this typical?

Thanks for taking the time to read and respond to this.

I am sorry but when you created the RMA you selected the item had a broken or damaged part so the case was assigned to parts replacement and since there was no part mentioned it cause the case to get lost.

I have changed it to an RMA and approved the RMA for you, so you will get an email shortly with directions where to send the cooler and fans to get it replaced. If you want to get an advanced replacement please call our customer service by phone at http://www.corsair.com/us/company/contact/ and they will be able to help you with that.
