n00bftw
just purchased a new cx750 and it is making a buzzing noise, but only when the mouse is being moved about, can anyone shed some light before i return it please :(: is this a known problem, i know its the psu because i have had my ear right to it and can verify its coming from the psu without a doubt, i recorded the sound on my phone for you clever people to see what you come up with. my motherboard is p5q deluxe running a q9550, is there any power saving settings i can adjust in the bios also cannot upload the audio file through corsair as the service is unavailable so here it is - http://yourlisten.com/channel/content/16993898/CX_750w_noise
peanutz94
If you have a setting in your BIOS called EUP/ERP, you could try disabling it and see if that makes any difference. If not then it would be best to have it replaced if it is that loud

peanutz94
Hardware compatibility issues happen all the time. It's really hard to give you a definitive answer. It could be something in the PSU, it could be something in that particular mouse that doesn't like each other. Without having both components and going through an in dept analysis it's anyone's guess.
n00bftw
started to do it again so im sending it back and getting a seasonic x-series, to bad as i usually rate corsair products but cant stand the humming noise any longer, driving me absolutely insane haha ohh well
jcvjcvjcvjcv
Coil whine And I hate to break it to you: but you get what you pay for. The CX is really on the bottom of Corsair's line-up. The Seasonic X-Series you mention is really twice as expensive.
n00bftw
if thats the case it should be stated on the package that possible coil whine is to be expected lmao, and yes i agree with you you do get what you pay for
