Uninformed
I recall reading somewhere about being able to set lighting to off but where the keys would light up when you clicked on them. I did not see that feature immediately in configuration however. Anyone know if this is just my imagination? Haha.
nelodiavolo
Are you referring to the customized key lighting feature? You press and hold the LED customize key button (not sure what its called) for about three seconds and the ring around the button will turn red. Then you can press any key to light any key you want illuminated. Once you are done, you can press and hold the button till the red ring goes away to save it. Each profile can save a setting. M1 M2 and M3. Now if you are talking about responsive lighting as you type, then I am not sure this keyboard has that feature. Maybe someone can chime in and verify. cakes
I can do reactive typing on my K95 right now. Hold left Ctrl (haven't tried with right Ctrl) and the button with the red ring for a few seconds. The lights should turn off and only on individually when you press them. To turn it off press the red ring button (don't need to hold).
NothinPersonal
I can do reactive typing on my K95 right now. cakes
It doesn't mention it in the manual and I'm merely using the term I've heard for the function on the internet. It is when a key lights up for just a second when you press it. It is more feedback in case you have very callous unfeeling fingers and can't hear the stroke either. NothinPersonal
Do you have the k70/90 or k95 cause I tried your holding down cntrl and led function and it doesn't work on mine and I have a K95. Nvm, I think I got it. Has to be put on no led mode first then hold down cntrl and led function button for it to work.
nelodiavolo
Dude cakes, you are awesome! It works! Both control buttons seem to enable it. Nothing Personal, I got it to work with my LED's on. I just held down control, pressed the red ring button for about 3 seconds, and when I released it, the LED's went off and reactive typing was enabled. cakes
It's something I learned as I was overturning the entire internet looking for info on this keyboard during the lengthy pre-order stage :P

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 13, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 13, 2013 I have a FAQ on some of the unmentioned features as a sticky above this forum. As a FYI though, you have re-enable the reactive typing anytime the machine is restarted or wakes from sleep since the keyboard doesn't retain it. mattss5o
Hello, sorry for bringing this post back to life after however many years but i just bought a corsair k95 non-RGB that was factory refurbished. Last night i was trying to get the fade-out lighting feature but i was half asleep so i do not remember what i pressed. I ended up getting a really cool feature that i have not seen before. When a key is pressed, the light turns on and stays on. same with the next few set of keys up until 5-6 (it could have been 10 but i didn't count them) then when the 7th key was pressed, the first would turn off. i have tried a few combinations with shift or alt instead of control, but i have not been able to replicate that feature since. Any ideas on how to use this feature?
