rakno
I have 2 sticks of Corsair Vengeance DDR 3 Memory (CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9)(Each 4 GB) I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64 operating system. When I look at the system specs it shows as INSTALLED MEMORY : 8GB (7.5 GB USABLE) Why this is happening I want to know that why I can not use full capacity of the memory i.e. 8GB I have another PC with G.Skilll RAM (16GB ) do not have above problem, that PC is utilizing full 16 GB RAM Some people (at Yahoo Answers)told me that your on board graphics might be eating 0.5 GB memory so try using Discrete graphics card so I borrowed AMD 5450 GFX card from my friend for few days & tested it but still there was no change What Can I do so that I can use full memory benefit that I have installed The System specs are CPU:-AMD Athlon X2 260 Mobo:-Asus M5A88-M Memory:-Corsair Vengeance 2x4 GB PSU:- Corsair CX430 430W Note two sticks purchased separately but having same model & timing
