gwoody
Does it matter which port I connect the Vengence 1500 headset to? I initially connected it to a USB 2.0 port and everything is working fine. Curiosity is getting the better of me and am now wondering if it would make a difference switching to the USB 3.0 port. I also have the K95 and M95, same question about those peripherals as well. Which port to use, does it matter one way or the other?
Toasted
I don't think it does matter. Though i don't think there will be a noticeable difference from USB 3.0 and 2.0. But you can try it though.
Radamlo
Hi guys, Personally when I've tried to use the v1500 headset on a USB 3.0 port, I got randomly some "aggressive sounds" (very loud) which appears at random times from the headset. I suppose that it comes from the interface between the headset and the USB 3.0 port since I don't got this problem on the same computer but on USB 2.0 port. But at the same time, i didn't ear any differences between USB 2.0 and 3.0 sound quality from the headset (i keep using it on USB 2.0 port since the "aggressive sounds" destroy my eardrums...) Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 11, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 11, 2013 We recommend USB 2.0 (unless the 3.0 is native). Peripherals don't need the extra bandwith of 3.0 and some controllers may cause more noise than others.
