WR4P-TP
Hi guys, I would like to know if I can or is it safe to run My GTX 780 on TX650v2. I don't want to spend unnecessarily if posible. Hers my spec: Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-3770K Processor (8M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz). Motherboard: ASUS RoG Maximus V Formula. Cooling: Cooler Master V6 GT. Memory: Vengeance® — 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8R). Video Card(s): Zotac GTX 580(old) with TDP @ 244w, Zotac GTX 780(new) with TDP @ 250w. (6w difference). Hard Disk(s): Intel SSD 520 120GB | 1x2(Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB) SATA III | 1 Caviar Black 640gb SATA II. Optical Drive: Samsung DVD RW 24x. Sound Card: Asus Xonar Essence STX. I used to run ATi HD 3870x2 on c2q CPU setup with vx550, then I got GTX 580, which I ran on it for quite some time without any problem, then I switched to TX650v2. Can TX650v2 handel my current config with GTX 780 without any issue?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 14, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 14, 2013 Once Card for the GTX 780 is rated at 400Watts give or take 50 watts for different Manufacturers so with that configuration you could be pushing the power beyond 650 Watts I would suggest a 750 Watt Minimum for one card and 1000 watt for two cards.
