zziplex Posted June 8, 2013 Share Posted June 8, 2013 Hello, unfortunately my first post is for a big problem :eek::biggrin: I just bought the link2 + cooling + lightning and I have some "strange issue" Both submodule are recognized, I can read parameter, but I cannot have fan and light "follow" the cpu temperature (or gpu). I have associated 4 fan and 1 light to the cpu group, while 1 light to the gpu temperature, but no chance. Even if i use the temp sensor to the cooling unit the fan do not follow its measurement. I see the commander block light continuosly lightning red/green, is it normal? I tried 3 moinboard usb header 2.0 and i have also disable usb 3.0. No way.... Device firmware is 2.0.6, lightning firmware is 1.1.9. At the moment i removed the cooling (my H110 do not allow me to play too much :)). Another strange fact is the that teh lightning module always reports "available led channels" = 2 even if 1 led is emty.... my current setup: win 8 64bit asrock z77 oc formula i7 3770k@4400mhz (h110) I hope someboday can help me... The L.E.Ds on on the Commander unit with the green/red L.E.D. is normal. It indicates activity. 2. The Lightning node has two channels which is why you see the second one. The L.E.Ds on on the Commander unit with the green/red L.E.D. is normal. It indicates activity. 2. The Lightning node has two channels which is why you see the second one. You can right click it and press hide. The led nod works "random", I ask to follow the cpu tempereture and it does not while if I ask a cycle or fixed it "almost" work. As soon I close the sw it lost some setup. If i disonnect one of the 2 stripes (leaving onlu channel one with led) it still see both channel filled. I use the last version available on the product page here on corsair website. I read that link has some incompatibility issues, but i have last driver possible installed.... I will check if it will be back: tomorrow I send back in RMA since the cooling node burned. Maybe I will check once back. But where I find the verious version of firmware and driver/sw? Adjust the temperature values under "Temperature Mode" and see if that helps. Believe me I did all the possible trials: if I adjust till the actual temp it switch, but after automatically it does not change color.... or it takes strange combination, but never able to change with "T" the same was for the fans connected to the cooling module until they where working.... I tried all the software: all the version except the current control good the LED with temperature. I use the BETA and this is ok. THE problem is the cooling node where the fan always stay in the minimum for any setup (performance, quit,...) i try....THIS WAS THE SAME REASON TO BUY THIS funny product. The fan are the stock one of your h110 ...the node has the last fw... 1.1.12 (?)... This is the original fw. The commander 2.0.6.... The stock fans of corsair h110 are corsair fans 4 pins pwm....i took the link2 mainly to be sure to control them based on cpu temperature...it does not... I downgraded the cooling unit fw to 1.2.5 and: 1. leds follow the temperatures (1 stripes works with gpu-temp and 1 with cpu temp). 2. I still cannot decide the fans profile (e.g. performanches), but at list i can define their % speed...it's like it does not recognizes fans as pwm...but 3-pin.... but they are corsair fans....!!!! And reboot after the you have uninstalled the program before you install the latest version. I see after cold startup... WHY? where is the problem? The 2.1.1 has the logging issue if I remember correctly. 2.2.0 was the last one before they upgraded the USB stuff. Anything after 2.2.0 caused my system to BSOD. zziplex Posted June 23, 2013 Author Share Posted June 23, 2013 now I use 2.4.4849 since I added the h100i (replacing my h110)...fan control from h100i (sp120l that seems to be not pwm, but just 3 pins) is ok, lighning is ok but i need to connect the h100i with usb....
