Socialite
Hello guys, I'm usually not one to complain or stress about products that I purchase that have issues; as I have found that it's generally a lot easier and a hell of a lot quicker if you just fix it yourself instead of waiting for the company to do so. However in this case (no pun intended), I need a bit of help. My 900D has a few issues most of which I can and will fix myself but a couple I cannot, as I have already tried to no avail. My first issue is that the tolerances for my case are a bit off. It causes rubbing and has led to paint being worn off on the rear of the lower section where the flap meets the chassis, on the windowed side. I've managed to find matte black paint from a local hobby store as a quick fix. I'm not sure how long it will last, but I picked up a couple of bottles to reapply as necessary. Second issue is that the lower flap on the windowed side constantly flops open with the tiniest movement of my case. Turns out that the entire case was somehow warped. I took the upper panels off and twisted the case a bit. It has helped somewhat but every once in awhile it flops open when trying to move it still... Is there any other known fix for a floppy lower panel? Third, and this seems to be the most pressing issue... I have waviness in my I/O panel cover... I have removed the cover and tried to massage the waves out, but unfortunately it has only made it worse. I submitted a trouble ticket in what I think is the newly designed TSX. That was on 5/25. I have yet to receive a response. I also PM'd CorsairGeorge on another forum, but my guess is that he is super busy these days, and as such I have not received a response from him either... So... Is there anyway to get the front flap or the I/O section replaced? My trouble ticket # is 6025524. Thanks in advance guys!

Socialite
It's almost been two weeks since my initial inquiry, and yet still no response from anyone on Corsair's tech support team. What gives? Not to turn into a whiny a-hole, but I paid almost 400 bucks for this case, and I have gone through the appropriate channels. Why is it that I still have not received so much as a single correspondence from anyone on Corsair's side?

Socialite
have you tried calling their support line regarding your rma request.? No, I hadn't. I was attempting to go through the proper channels and submit a ticket first. I will give them a call since my ticket and other contact attempts have gone unanswered. Socialite
Now it's been over a month since my initial inquiry, yet no help has been given, not a single response has come despite me filing a ticket, placing numerous calls, and e-mailing! What gives Corsair?

Maku
So my 900D finally arrived and got also few issues with that case like Socialite has, especially with both lower hatches. Seems there is little faulty engineering. They cause rubbing and has led to paint being worn off (on the pictures) Theres actually 3 spots on each side, hatces got some sort of little tabs, i dont know how to call them. Also the frame has been hit hard with something and it has pretty deep cut in it. Only some sort of aluminium paste could cover it.
GTXJackBauer
Sorry to see that. I can't see much but its just bad luck. I am sure majority of the cases come unharmed but a few instances it will happen. Folks in charged with Quality Control should be held accountable. Hell it could be overseas competitors trying to sabotage corsair. Its a different in the commie world. :D: (Assuming Corsair production is in China like the rest of them)
Maku
It's not a big problem but it's the second time it happens to me, same thing was with 800D, front panel got scrathes and acrylic glass.. i wasn't even to able see through - covered with massive scrathes. But i guess it's a bad luck

Socialite
Socialite The case is new and some parts have been hard to get but you replacement parts were shipped on the 2nd of July UPS Tracking number #1Z4VX5250442533807 Thanks for your reply. I understood this, which is why I was so patient. My only concern was that I did not receive any correspondence for over a month. Since then, my part has arrived and my main issue has been resolved; so no worries! BTW Ram Guy... How difficult do you think it would be to procure a replacement of the full front I/O assembly? I have some modding ideas, but I don't want to sacrifice the current one that I have if there is no way to possibly purchase or secure a replacement. WOLF
Dear Corsair! I had my Corsair Obsidian 900D for some 2 weeks now and are in the process to install my computer components. Under that process I encounter the same problem with the lower panel on the window side as well as the magnets inadequacy retaining the panel in their locked position. As a handyman I can say that there are 2 things that bother me regarding the constructions of the 900D case. 1. The panel hinges and its mountings are under dimensioned and insufficient in its construction. 2. The choice of magnets, which are intended to keep the panel closed is insufficient for its purpose and should have been some long-term mechanical solutions instead. Hope that Corsair will come up with some sort of solutions for their customers 900D cases with this issues. Except for that (so far) I'm pleased with the Corsair Obsidian 900D Super Tower Case. Yours Sincerely, Bengt WOLF Johansson.

WOLF
Thank you RAM GUY! Just want to add some information that wasn't mentioned in my previous post. The thing is that the magnets on the panel under the window panel has not the strength to hold the panel that is intended. Then when I had the panel open for some time as I installing various components, then when I close the panel it came a loud popping sound in the left suspension whereupon the panel ended up in an oblique position, seen from above in the open position. As I also saw was that the suspension was very flexible and not so rigid as I had hoped. Unfortunately, this have made me lost the confidence in the panel design as well as the lock magnets which I pointed out in my previous post. With the above issues I see my Corsair Obsidian 900D as a product with fabrication defect which is sad since Corsair usually have high quality standards on their products. I will set my computer component installation on hold until Corsair hopefully are willing to help me out so I will have a fully functional product. I bought my Corsair Obsidian 900D case at Swedish http://www.dustinhome.se Order. 14427153 Invoice. 10256197. Yours Sincerely, Bengt WOLF Johansson. I have some modding ideas, but I don't want to sacrifice the current one that I have if there is no way to possibly purchase or secure a replacement. It's very difficult at the moment. We don't have this listed as part that can be purchased separately yet. There's no ETA at the moment.

WOLF
Dear RAM GUY! I thank you so much for the offer of the ticket, but I suspect it will take some time to saddle the issues so with all respect I made up my mind to salve it my self in some way and by that I can start to install my components since I made my living room in to a computer mechanic shop with all it's components. Again RAM GUY, Thank you so much for you most generous offer. Yours Sincerely, Bengt WOLF Johansson.
