no the tubes in idle r fine , I tried to reset, unmount the cooler, putting new thermo paste and update the Firmware still the same, when I stress the CPU the temps r fine I get 60 C and the h100i Temp jump to 58 and in idle never gets under 53 even when the CPU is 30-35 C.. this is really weird.

Same exact issue here.

It only happened after updating to the 1.07 firmware.

Custom profiles based on CPU temp keep the pc quiet for now.

This might need getting looked at by corsair

what was wrong that prompted you to go to 1.07?

it started when I had the Firmware 1.04 , and after trying resetting, unmount etc. I updated to 1.07 und still the same problem . everything else is ok (cooling, LED, no noise )

I think Corsair has a huge problem with software developing !!!

on the contrary, its the machines the software is being loaded on.

the software obviously is the same yet it works on one machine and not so well on another.

its impossible to get the software totally happy on every machine with its own unique software/hardware thats in it.

yet the user blames corsair for it,

so,if its the software, then why do i have 3 well working units sitting in front of me?

now one can blame corsair for the complexity of the software for the novice user but they cant be expected to educate the user either.

Indeed, but because I had to flash anyway, I chose the latest firmware available.

its wise to read regarding updates as some are advised not to use if theres no problems

some updates address issues that only some are having and may cause problems to others that arent having issues.

The only reason to advise people not to use a FW upgrade should be because of the risk of a bad flash (and I would suspect that is the reason why people are advised not to upgrade unless they are having problems), why would Corair, or any company, release something so important as FW if it has known bugs in the code. Then the bugs have to be fixed and people have to flash again, which just increases the chances of a bad flash.

you're not exactly correct.

some people due to their particular build configuration may experience bugs while others do not

corsair comes out with a fix for these users and those that werent having these particular problems may experience new issues from using the software.

the firmware/software works but not for every user due to their own unique build

Software bugs should be fixed with updated software, not firmware. There isn't much to go wrong in regards to different hardware and firmware as the only thing everyone has in common is the device connects via USB, you don't have to take into account what CPU, RAM or GPU a user has. USB is standardised.

no,only how everything around it reacts to whats connected to the usb which does matter to different users

firmware controls whats hooked to the usb and how it reacts to other connected devices.

The firmware will interact with the motherboard. The motherboard will interact with everything else, hardware, OS and drivers.

Edit: And here is something to think about, when companies make firmware for a router, do they take into account all the different hardware configurations of the PC's their router could be hooked up to? No. They work with getting the router to work on an ethernet port, it's the component it is hooked up to job to do the rest.
