I just put together my dream PC. 50% all corsair part h100i watercooler, 800D case, TH750 power supply, 6 SP120 fans 1 AF140 fan, and the corsair link cooling and lighting kit.

I install every thing yesterday. Install windows get everything up and running. I wanted to install the Corsair link cooling and light kit last so I could hide all the wiring. Install it wire it up turn on my pc and smoke is pouring out of it. I quickly turn it off. So the cable going from the link commander to the cooling node caught fire and fried the commander and the cooling node. Light kit still works fine. I tested every thing seems to be working fine thank God!!! I can believe this happen. I have built over 100 custom computers and have never had anything happen like this.

I had a similar issue, the cable that connected the Link Commander to the H80 pump basically just fried, and thank goodness that it happened when I booted up in the morning, rather than certain nights I leave on for backups. There was no cable kind, but it inspired me to go out and buy an H80i cooling pump and an AX760i PSU, but ran out of USB ports on my mobo so I am waiting for a part someone on here suggested and works for him. Not real sure if I want to reconnect the Link Cooling Kit since it has such a cheap cable and it will cost you $20 just to get a replacement cable.

I had the same thing happen to my h100. Smoke poured out through the fans. Scared the crap out of me. :-)

Here is the part that I ordered to get extra internal usb.

I like it also because I was able to put it in the lower compartment of my case and hide some of the wiring.
