ChrissSpirit
Hello! Today I've decided to take a moment and write down my experience with all Corsair products I own. So let's get things started: 1. H100i CPU Watercooler - Runs perfectly fine and fulfills it's role as a watercooler (keeping the temps reasonably low). However the water-pump is quite loud and alot of fins on the radiator were bent. Also; the holes for the screws are easily broken resulting in you not being able to screw the radiator tight. (I've been careful enough not to over-tighten them, however 2 of them still broke) 2. HX850 PSU - Same as above - runs perfectly fine as a PSU! The problem I have here, is that the fan just randomly spins up 100% every 10-15mins for about 5-10 seconds making an awful lot of noise. 3. K90 Keyboard - It's an ok keyboard but after 3 weeks of purchase an LED died and it doesn't look as sexy anymore ): Also, sometimes I sometimes get this weird bug, where I press a button and it locks that button into place (sorta as if you would keep pressing it) until I press it again. When that happens I get something like this: Hey howwwwwwwww (and the w keeps repeating until I press it again; sorta annoying) 4. Vengeance 2000 Headset - ALOT better than G930 from Logitech! However it took me quite a while to get used to the loopback, which for whatever reason can't be disabled. Recently (about 2 months after purchase), I get this unbearable static sound whenever the headset is plugged in AND the mic is down. Friends in skype have reported that they can hear the static noise too and if I go to "Microphone check" or to "Listen to microphone", the static sound just gets louder and louder. In addition to that, everytime I unplug the headset, it turns off and I have to turn it back on. I'm bringing these back to the store tomorrow. 5. Dominator Platinum 2133MHz (4x4GB) - They look sexy as hell and also WORK without any problems. Good job! In conclusion I do have to say I find it rather sad that there's a problem with almost all of my corsair products and I hope that in the future the stuff I buy from corsair will run without compromise! Synthohol
Corsair will warranty the cooler and keyboard. the PSU may be operating as designed but you are more than welcome to RMA that as well if you think its not doing what it should. as far as the headset, i wonder if a recent M$ update may be the cause? i would not rule it out but if you are exchanging it please let us know if the new one does the same right off the bat. thanks for posting your experiences and i hope they get sorted to your satisfaction. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 4, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 4, 2013 I am sorry that you have had some trouble but lets take things one at a time. 1. (I've been careful enough not to over-tighten them, however 2 of them still broke) A: It is not uncommon for them to be a little noisy at first but I would expect them to calm down in the fist week. If not please use the link on the let and request an RMA. We will be happy to replace it. If you have had it less than thirty day you can call our customer service and request pre-paid shipping once you have submitted the case. 2. HX850 PSU - Same as above - runs perfectly fine as a PSU! The problem I have here, is that the fan just randomly spins up 100% every 10-15mins for about 5-10 seconds making an awful lot of noise. A: I am sorry to say this is normal at low loads (40-50%) so what is happening is the system is not drawing enough power and when the fan kicks on it cools it to bellow 46 Deg C internally and once the internal components reach 49 Deg C the fan starts again and it will ramp up to 100% as a self test for the fan. You can add some more devices to the system to increase the load and it will likely not happen any more. When that happens I get something like this: Hey howwwwwwwww (and the w keeps repeating until I press it again; sorta annoying) A: Have you updated the KB Firmware? if not please try that and if it persists please request an RMA as I stated above. 4. In addition to that, everytime I unplug the headset, it turns off and I have to turn it back on. I'm bringing these back to the store tomorrow. A: I am sorry and I agree that would be the best to get them replaced, if they will not help you with that please request an RMA and let me know the case number I will see it gets taken care of.
