hitmancho
Ok, as a first-time poster, I'm going to keep this story short. I've recently decided to buy a cooler to replace my stock Intel cooler, since it started getting noisy and I really want to try some overclocking on my slightly aging i5-2500k. I thought the H100i was the perfect piece but now I'm having some doubts. http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/4271/dscn6497e.jpg As you can see, there's only a 35mm distance between the top of my case and the (I believe) VRM radiator of my mobo. Question is: how large EXACTLY is the H100i with the radiator and the fans? Can it fit in this particular case and build? Or should I just get the H80i and replace my rear exhaust fan? I'm asking this because I've seen that the H100i gets better temps at overclocked speeds.

hitmancho
Ooops, sorry about that. Well: Radiator dimensions: 120mm x 275mm x 27mm Fan dimensions: 120mm x 120mm x 25mm That means a total of 47mm thickness. It's more than I measured. But I still can't figure it out completely: how does it stand with the screws on my case? Will it hit the radiator and be unable to get screwed on? I just wanted to ask here and see if anyone had a similar situation to mine. Should I really risk it, or go for H80i? EDIT: I've yet to find a joint-size diagram of the H100i fully assembled. Is it really 27+25mm thick? My case is supposed to support a 240mm radiator, but I don't know about the fans and they are really bothering me. Newt182
Is your case similar to any mentioned here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1144409/h80-h80i-h90-h100-h100i-h110-case-compatibility-thread-page-1-for-full-listings
hitmancho
This is my case: http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=c_00001662 I can't find anyone using this one, but the V4 appears similar but smaller. http://cdn.overclock.net/c/c1/900x900px-LL-c1d24a94_390927_4084329420981_2081625319_n.jpeg Yet, this poster's mobo appears to have different layout/shorter radiator. I know it's a longshot, but I really want to know if anyone has a case/mobo combo similar to mine. Most of ASRock's mobos have a similar layout. Newt182
I have a H100i that I'm sending back so I took some pics: http://imgur.com/4nzRcen,CCG8OVi,IeXRxWi,YTBAcqJ,FLRVeUt
hitmancho
Thank you for the pic. I'm guessing there's no way l'm fitting that h100i with that ASRock mobo and case. I don't know if I can move it on the top with the screws. Probably going to pick up the H80i.
