turok_t
Hi guys, so I have the Corsair HX850 PSU and I realized that the fan always spin at full speed very loud. From the moment I turn on the computer, to the time I use it, it spins really loud. I was under the impression that the fan RPM is modulated by the load and temp, but it appears to be at full speed all the time. I know that it is the fan because I can hear it starting up immediately after I turn on my computer. Its not a buzzing or electrical noise. I pretty much tried all the suggestions in the sticky including: -disabling CPU power saving features in the bios (i.e. C1E) -enabling vsync in the NVIDIA control panel -changed the power settings to "balance" and "high performance" and "power saver" to no avail -disabled Q-fan in bios -removed the PSU completely from my case with nothing attached to it (ie. no DVD ROM, no HD, no connections to case fans or mobo) and used a paper clip to jump start the PSU (green and black wire). The fan still revs up immediately after I turn on the PSU. Im pretty much stuck on possible solutions I can do, so any suggestions would be much appreciated. dawild
It seems there is an issue with your PSU, make a RMA and take it to a replacement!

dawild
from what i know, you have to call their customer service by phone, if you want an express replacement, and yes they will ask you for a credit card there, and ship first !

This is my first time submitting an RMA Once you receive your case or RMA number you will need to call CS to arrange an advanced RMA for Credit Card security reasons.
