mbk17
Hello, I just recently purchased the Corsair Vengeance 2000 wireless headset and have been using it for the past couple days. I've noticed my mic will stop working(not picking up my voice) at completely random times, and no the boom is not completely up. Another issue I have found is the reception is poor, it is no where 40 feet, it has to be 12 at best and even then it cuts in and out. If there are any solutions or suggestions to these problems please reply. Thanks.
mbk17
Forgot to mention when my mic randomly stops working I have to shake my headset or move the boom a little bit and it goes back to normal.
Toasted
Try the headset on another computer and see if the mic still stops working. Do you have any other wireless devices around the area? E.g. wireless routers, wireless phones, etc. Move them away and see if that helps.

Well I put on my headset today and my range has tripled and I've yet to see the mic randomly stop work. I'm unsure if the overnight charge fixed everything? Oh well couldn't be happier. While I still have a thread up, I was wondering if there are any EQ settings or enhancements to get rid of the static/white noise I hear when ever there is nothing playing through my headset. It is starting to give me a headache. When there is nothing playing in the headset I should hear nothing. Any suggestions on this is immensely appreciated. All round amazing headset so far, upgraded from the 1500, I wanted some freedom since I'm also upgrading from a dorm to an apartment next year. Thanks again
Toasted
Is your mic boom down? Does it happen when its muted? Close any programs running in the background e.g. iTunes, Media Players, etc and see if the noise disappears.

Toasted
Contact your seller and ask if they can replace the headset for you. If not, request an RMA to replace it.
mbk17
Was able to order a replacement through the reseller. I will post again here to update if my problems are solved or not.
mbk17
Holy **** that was impressive shipping, highly recommend NCIX, I submitted my RMA last night at 6pm and I received my replacement through cross-order the next day(today) at noon. Anyways I was still having range issues with the replacement so I took my lap top out to my bare field with 0 interferences and did a circle around it at the edge of the signal and the radius of the cirlce was just about 40 feet. My 2000 I got replaced failed the circle test and was only getting around a 10 feet radius. So now I need to find what is interfering in my house where I have my dongle. For the seconds issue,(mic randomly stopping) my new 2000 seems to be staying on. So the RMA has solved my issues but I still have signal problems due to some factor in my household. Thanks for the replies, Toasted, highly appreciated sir. Thread can be closed as my current issue is not product related but house related. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 7, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 7, 2013 Do you still have your old headset? Swap the dongle and re-pair the device.
