JKeifer
Hi, I have an H80i and have the two supplied fans connected to it. Does the H80i support more than the two provided fans and, if so, do I need something else to add the fans to the system? I was unable to find this information in the documentation supplied with the cooler or on-line. Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance! you dont mention type of fans used so ill assume stock is used and you can connect 4 in a push/pull setup, you will need to purchase another 'y' cable from corsair to do so. rea1high
as wytnyt said, you'll need to buy the y cable to add two further fans to the H80i. I don't know if fan splitter cables will work as I've never tried. Perhaps you could try that, but there's no guarantee and you'd lose individual control. I have two y cables and I control a case fan with it just fine (apart from lower than normal rpms, but I don't know why that is, I think it's a fan issue rather than the H80 issue) obviously, you wouldn't add the two extra fans to the H80i rad for 2x push-pull ;) I should add, the case fan is not pwm and it is still controlled by the H80i

Hi and thanks for the response. Currently the H80i controls the two OEM fans provided with the kit. I want to add another fan, small 40 mm fan for cooling my Adaptec Raid controller, to the mix. I understand I need another "Y" cable to connect this and possibly one other fan. Thanks again!

As i mentioned to the other person who responded, I want to add a 40mm fan to cool my Adaptec Raid controller. Do you recommend a PWM fan or a standard fan with a tach wire for this 40mm fan? wytnyt
no not really, ive never used anything below a 120mm for a good while now and fans change like every day

I may just put the small fan on the MB header or connect it to a drive connector and be done with it. Thanks!
