brewster0101
Just got my AX760i with the link software and I see you can also control case fans and lights with some extra kit. I was about to buy a Lamptron fan controller as the fans on the 650D case are annoying. If I wanted to control the fans in my case with the Link software , what hardware do I need. Do I actually need to buy the cooling node and Kit or just the kit?
Toasted
You'll need the Corsair LINK Kit to control fans, monitor temps, etc with the software
brewster0101
You'll need the Corsair LINK Kit to control fans, monitor temps, etc with the software Would the AX760i PSU also plug into this or would I still have to connect this by a separate USB plug ? I think I will not have enough USB headers for both. Thanks
brewster0101
Ok, spent the last hours watching and reading. Have a much better understanding. I guess the last question is : When the computer turns on do I have to wait for the corsair link software to load before it makes all my fans quiet? Motherboard or fan controller would do this from power on.

I usually have the occasional fan that gets stuck at max rpm but when I fiddle with the rpm setting or mode setting it usually settles down. madcratebuilder
My pump/fans slow down after about 3-4 seconds on start up or reboot. It does sound like a FA18 spooling up to 110% power for those few seconds..
