dracoda Posted May 30, 2013 Share Posted May 30, 2013 Hi I've noticed that my headset produces quite a loud hiss for about 10 seconds after any sound plays from my computer that isn't a windows sound, so my internet browser / spotify / some games. It is the exact same problem as described here http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=108354 and it makes it really hard to use for general applications. I was lucky enough to be able to try this out on a number of different machines and driver set ups to see if the problem still occurs. No code has to be inserted here. Now since it seems to work flawlessly with windows XP I tried installing the XP windows USB audio drivers after removing the windows 8 ones, which didn't work. I tried running in compatibility mode when installing the Corsair drivers but still nothing. I tested all these PCs in the same environment, all right next to one another and the XP and 7 Machines are all of the same spec. I already suffer from tinnitus, and this loud hissing during the silence after I stop playing any music is just aggravating things. Is this a known issue or should I get an RMA?
