omegatotal
I will not need any additional connections, no other fan controllers or lighting controllers, so I only need a point to point connection between the H100 and the motherboard. Where can I get one of the corsair link cables for this scenario?
Toasted
You'll need the Corsair LINK Kit to connect the H100 to the SW.
omegatotal
was there not just a simple single ended option, i dont need all the extra expansion at all... Wasn't it included with the ax#i series psu's? EDIT: This is literally all I want with the required cable for my H100 http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Corsair/AX860i/images/box_Link2.jpg
Toasted
Yes, you can use the LINK USB Dongle as well but its only included with the AXi Series PSUs but they are not available on the Webstore. You can try contact customer service via phone and ask if you can buy one.
omegatotal
Someone in the marketing dept. failed, this should be available separately for those of us that only use the water cooling kit in SFF builds for example, where space is at a huge premium

EDIT: This is literally all I want with the required cable for my H100 the non integrated units arent designed to do this, the software alone cant accomplish this as the non I models dont have the onboard software to work with the link software but a good idea to avoid wanting to buy the LC;):
omegatotal
My understanding of the Corsair Link system is that the LinkCommander is simply a port expander for a serial based communication system(not like rs232/422/485, but still serial, perhaps simply SPI) type system. So why wouldn't the single port version work?
wytnyt
the controller needs to interpret data sent from whatever source but the h80/100's aren't designed to receive this type of data.
omegatotal
Thats one hell of a generic response... Have you ever worked with microcontrollers ?

Toasted
I've just tried the Dongle pictured above and it did not work in the beta or the previous version. Seems like it either doesn't work or its a software issue. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showpost.php?p=607243&postcount=
wytnyt
im sure its software related and a communication issue,i wouldnt think this would work as it defeats the necessity of the LC system.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 3, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 3, 2013 What cable were you using to connect the C-Link Module? You would need IC2 cable not the USB Cable?
wytnyt
What cable were you using to connect the C-Link Module? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 3, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 3, 2013 Okay then let me rephrase the question? If you have the H100 the only way to connect it to Corsair is with the Corsair Link cooling and lighting kit. The C-Link module that comes with the PSU will not work with the H100.
