H100i Green blink Led (dead)

Hi,

first of, i got my H100i 3 months ago, had to replace the first one the same day cause it came broken in package, the 2nd one i got i had to do a rma,

to get new fans, cause the dread full grinding sound!

I'm kinda tired how troublesome this cooler has been, a 100 euro cooler acting up as a cheap "Asian replica"!!!

But hey enough about this, lets head on to the THIRD annoying faulty error with this cooler...

My computer got a glass side window, i got the comp up on the desktop to my right side, so i can look into it when i´m playing, encoding etc... i want to see the leds so i can see the temperature, i usually have temp on, blue (cold), yellow (medium), and red (hot)!

"Out of tin air", it stopped working, it just shows green/ blurish white color, and blinks alot, i know this can be that the usb is sending signals, but it never behaved this way before, so why now?

When i change cycling colors/temperature or normal, the colors doesn't work, still only green, even when green is not activated, or simply black/dead colors.

Is the leds broken?

This happend for me on CorsairLink2 (2.2.0) with firmware 1.04 (h100i) (corsair hydro usb v.2.0.0)

So i went to the forum (seen ALOT of people with this problem with new software), but since i had this out of thin air since 2.2.0 im not sure its the same root of the error, anyhow, i now updated both my firmware and software, running CorsairLink2 (2.3.4816), firmware 1.05 (h100i) still the same problem!

Do i "Rma" this? (i still got guarantee in Sweden to change it at the store!)

(extra info, so i don't get any "stupid" reply's)

I can control the fans through corsairlink.

Specs:

Windows 7 X64 Sp1 (updated)

Latest Mobo Bios

Latest Gpu Bios

Up to date drivers for Gpu,Cpu,Chipset,Usb etc

Running h100i with Usb mini to usb slot at the back of my mobo (outside) (not the cable from Corsair that connects directly to the mobo (inside), i have tried with that aswell, same problem, yes i have deleted all profiles, i have uninstall old software and restarted before installing new, i have also deleted all Corsair catalouges in the process (including the ones under appdata) i'm no fool!

I am sorry to say, i think it would be the best move. However, i would let Corsair replace it for you . Since you have had multiple units Corsair will pick up the shipping costs and also you can ask for an advanced replacement if you need one.

But if you would still like to return it to your store you always have that option as well.

If you decide to have it replaced by Corsair just use the link on the left to request an RMA.

Wait

Please check the LED's and make sure that you can change to all three colors. and all three colors show up when you change them in Corsair Link.

If so then there is nothing wrong but I would suggest you uninstall the version you have installed and reboot and install the latest Beta as this was addressed in the latest Beta.

If you cannot see one of the colors then I would agree please request and RMA and post the case number or post your previous RMA and we will have it replaced at our expense

(tested leds with beta, already tried it before, but did it again to show u) ... if this was adressed in this latest beta version, its clearly that my unit is broken since its the same issue on all the corsairlink software versions.

And i think i will replace it at my store on the 1 year guarantee we got in Sweden, cause i don't want another h100i unit i'm fed up with all the problems with it and will probably go for a Nzxt Kraken x60 instead!

Atleast a good thing is that Corsair pays for the Rma, its not more then fair tbh, but a thumb up for that, it's nice of you!
