cmf0106
I am experiencing a popping sound periodically throughout any audio play on my wired corsair vengeance 2000. It is important to note this only occurs on my laptop with win vista. I do not experience this issue with these headphones on my win 7 desktop. Any suggestions? Toasted
Its probably a grounding issue. Try it on another laptop and see if the same issue is there.
cmf0106
Its probably a grounding issue. Try it on another laptop and see if the same issue is there. Unfortunately, I do not have another laptop to test with. If it is indeed a grounding issue is there anything I can even do to correct the issue? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 30, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 30, 2013 Are you charging the laptop when using it?
cmf0106
Are you charging the laptop when using it? Yes I am charging the laptop when experiencing this. I tried unplugging the laptop with the headphones and so far have not experienced the popping noise. What would cause the popping noise when the laptop is charging? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 3, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 3, 2013 I've never heard of a popping noise but there is buzzing sometimes when used on a laptop. I can't tell you the source of it but with the latter, it's usually related to the grounding on the laptop (which is why your desktop doesn't have it).
