AX750 Cold boot problem

When starting from cold (after being unplugged) my computer takes forever (up to 4 hours) before it seems to get any power. No motherboard LED, no nothing. Eventually the motherboard LED will turn on, and once it's on everything works perfectly until it's completely disconnected from the mains again.

Anyone have any clue what's wrong?

I had a similar but not as extreme a problem.

Turns out my Corsair XMS RAM did not like to work from cold. The system would not boot up, then when it did it Windows would immediately blue-screen.

I had to go into the BIOS and leave it there for about 10 minutes and then the system would boot up perfectly.

My advice would be to take out all the RAM except for one stick, try that out and rinse and repeat until you have either eliminated all the RAM as the cause or until you find the culprit.

I had the exact same problem with my ax650.....I got a replacement PSU from corsair and that fixed the problem straight away. I think it might be a common problem with the older AX's and to do with a weak 5v rail that fails to boot your PC up.
