zbob8 Posted May 26, 2013 Share Posted May 26, 2013 So I know the self test with the fan running at max speed upon booting/waking up the pc is normal, but in my case the test (at least the fans keep spinning at high RPM) takes about 17-18 seconds. I haven't connected the PSU to the motherboard, nor installed the software. What I'd like to know is 1) is the time of 17-18 s it takes for the self test to complete normal and 2) would connecting the PSU to the MB & installing the sw reduce the duration of the self test? I've read that for some others the self test takes less than 10 secs, so it seems a little strange that mine takes so much longer. Of course this doesn't bother me too much, but if there's a possibility to reduce the duration I'd like to know. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
