jlarimore
I am trying to minimize noise in my 550D case. I am midway through replacing the stock case fans with higher quality, more silent fans. But, I am getting a little confused about which 120mm front case fans to buy. My question is, when replacing the 2 front intake fans, would you go with the high static pressure style fans or standard airflow fans? From what I can tell, the high static pressure fans spin a little faster and are probably therefore a little louder, but are specifically designed to push air through confined areas. With a fairly full hard drive cage, (mix of SSDs and magnetic disks) and on the other side the indirect, small intake vent area, and the dust filter, does this qualify as an area where the high static pressure fans would be ideal? -Jim
rocketraid
The Silverstone AP122 Fans are pretty awesome for intakes. I use them on my 350D, they are silent and push air quite far.
