Corsair H90 Mounting in a 120MM Slot?

Recommended Posts

I am in the market for a new cooler, with the release of Haswell I will be moving to a 4770K and Maximus VI Extreme and want a great cooler. Problem is I purchased an H110 after contacting both Corsair and the manufacturer of the case to make sure the tubing would reach the bottom of my TJ11, I was assured it would and made my purchase, of course it does no reach.

My question would an H90 be able to mount in the top 120MM fan are for my TJ11? And if so what type of adapter do I need?

Haswell is going to use the same mouning pattern asthe current 1155 boards . It will fit just fine.

You could just use an h80 and then you wouldn't need an adapter. There is no major advantage between a 120 and 140 RAD. Maybe a couple of degrees at most. But you could use a 120 to 140mm fan shroud to make the change.

I have never seen Corsair recomend or say that the coolers are compatible with anything other than a case that would have room for a 240 rad at the top of the case. So, I'm not sure why they would have told you that. They do not list compatibility for any cases other than their own since these are a "universal fit" unit..
