wytnyt
theres several reasons that could cause this, properly connected usb cable,,you can try another usb cable header,or the best connection is mini usb/usb connected to rear outside usb. other reasons could be a conflicting usb device such as flash cards, mouse,kb ect... Snik
Wait a second.... do I need to purchase additional hardware for this thing to work...??? I was under the impression that the software worked with the cooler as is....
Bryman
You need to download some software and connect it with mini USB to header (included) or mini USB to USB (not included) but you don't have to "purchase" anything Just looked at picture... You have the software downloaded... Did you connect the cooler to the motherboard with the cable that was included? You know how to take a screenshot right? That little button on the keyboard that says print screen or sysreq you can do alt print screen if you just want to take a picture of the window selected
Snik
Yup, have cable connected. Disconnected it, rebooted, reconnected it, reboot again, same diff. I nit that is must be connected properly, I think, as it does show other devices... tho that may be wrong too. I will try to find another cable and try to connect to exterior usb plug... Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 24, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 24, 2013 I would check for the latest MB drivers from the chipset and or USB PHY manufacturer. I have seen the same issue with a Gigabyte MB and had to get the latest USB 3.. 0 Driver from AMD because the MB makers driver was not new enough. It appears that the USB 2.0 Ports are piggy backed off of the USB 3.0 Controller on some MB's and would not see some of the devices till I install the latest Chipset and USB 3.0 drivers from AMD. ch1ck3nubbl37
I had recently switched to a different motherboard, i had upgraded my chip set from a z-170 to a z-270 and switched from an i7-67k to a i7-77k. Upon switching i i had to reset everything up, including my corsair link. When i opened up corsair link i noticed my H-80i v2 was not being detected. i did all the troubleshooting i could think of, i switched the usb connector to a different header. i switched the 3pin connector from cpu_fan to cpu_opt and nothing worked, i even re downloaded corsair link. Ive also tried all the suggestion on this page. If anyone has any idea what i could do to make this work i would be extremely grateful
red-ray
Have you disabled fan control for the CPU_FAN header in the BIOS so the H100iV2 get's the constant +12 volts that it needs. The SIV initial + [uSB Bus] + [Link Devices] + [Link Status] + [Link Fans] panels allow the root cause of many hardware issues to be determined and resolved. If you need help with a CL hardware issue I recommend attaching these screen shots to your post using names such as [Link Devices].png. You should also ensure your PC Specs are up to date and specify the Windows Build number. Check the devices are present on Devices and Printers and confirm that Windows Device Manager is not reporting any issues.
