900D Missing Parts

Recommended Posts

My new 900D arrived today and I just opened the box.

The bag or box of screws and accessories are missing.

Yes, I checked each drive bay, the rest of the interior of the case, and inside the shipping box.

The shipping box arrived undamaged. Not a single dent or loose tape seam.

I tried going through your on-line RMA and there are no part numbers listed for these new cases, so I had no choice but to go through this forum.

Please advise what to do as I'd really like to start building a new computer with this case.

I've already allocated the time, space, parts and promised a completion date and this has stopped everything in its tracks.

Please help!

I am sorry about that, where did you purchase the case from? Did you order it directly from us or through a reseller?

And please submit an accessory part request and just use the part# CC-8930114 and let me know the Case number I will change the part number for you if needed.

But in the problem description please explain that you have the 900D Case and it was missing the accessory box.

Thanks.

I just tried the number you gave and it doesn't work.

I went through the Support Center and it won't accept anything at all, without a valid Part Number.

I tried all the numbers on the box label and they don't work.

Maybe your computer hasn't accepted the new parts numbers yet?

I bought the case from Amazon, since Corsair had none.

It was shipped from Phoenix Tuesday and arrived at my door Wednesday.

Where do I submit an accessory part request?

Shouldn't I be dealing with the RMA Dept. and not a parts order site?

I don't recall ever buying anything that wasn't all there and really don't know what I'm supposed to do, how to go about it, who exactly to contact or anything else about this process.

I've dealt with RMA's before but never one in which the parts are not even recognized by the company.

You people at Corsair really must have some problems with your site.

None of the Corsair links work.

Even the Memory Configurator link takes you to a page with 3 keyboards on it and no mention of memory at all.

I still need to know to go about getting the rest of my case parts here. I really need to get started on and complete this build before it's too late.

Please use the 800D and create the request I will change the part number CC800DW if the 900D Part number does not work CC-9011022-WW.

Then please post the case number I will see it gets sorted out.

I really appreciate your help, but the message keeps coming up, "Please Select A Part Number." Regardless of the part number I enter.

Instead of going through all these computer forms, isn't it possible to just send an e-mail to Corsair, describing that this part package is missing and that I need a replacement as soon as possible?

I seem to be going through a lot of work just to get the parts sent to me that should've been with this new case to begin with.

This really isn't the least bit fair as I have done nothing wrong.

All I've done is to buy a Corsair product, all the parts are not there and they need to be replaced asap. That's all.

We do not have the parts you are asking for so it may take some more time to get this sorted out I would suggest calling our customer service by phone to get more information.

How long does it take for something to be shipped from your factory in Taiwan(?) or wherever it is in Asia?

The last time I ordered anything from Taiwan took 7 business days to arrive at my home.

It should certainly take no longer than that to receive the parts package.

I haven't any doubt that you know quite a bit more than anyone manning a customer support telephone. Especially, exactly who to contact to get the info needed.

I actually expected Corsair, USA to not have any spare parts, yet.

As any modern corporation these days, Corsair was much more interested in selling all the cases they could before the customers needs for spare parts were ever considered.

The last time I tried calling Corsair it took several days before anyone would even answer the phone. Yes I used the correct telephone number and I know how to convert to Pacific Daylight Standard Time.

Even when I eventually got ahold of someone in Customer Service, I was put on hold and eventually cut off with no answer whatsoever.

No, I won't be going through all that hassle again just to be hung up on.

None of all this is your fault, of course.

I know that you are and have been doing the best you can and I appreciate it.

The person who ordered this computer build has since backed out. This case now belongs to me. I hope that one day I'll actually be able to do something with it, as it's taking up a lot of space that I really need.

Thanks again for your help.

First I am sorry that happened and I am doing all I can to help expedite the order for you. Unfortunately the part is not available just yet that is the issue. So I have asked the Case Product Manager to see what we can do to help get this resolved ASAP. Please give me a few more days and I will do my best to get this resolved ASAP.

Good news! I just received an e-mail saying the parts will be shipped in 1-2 days. Here's the mss.:

"Created By: U CS (6/5/2013 9:19 AM)

Hello,

We apologize for the delay. Replacement parts have been issued and will ship out within 1-2 business days.

Please disregard any messages telling you to ship anything back. You will not be required to ship anything back.

Regards,

RMA Service"

You were instrumental in getting this matter expedited.

I honestly don't think it would've gone so swiftly without your help.

Thank you!

There was supposed to be a small cardboard box mounted in a lower drive bay that held all the screws and a few other items listed on the back of the instruction sheet.

The entire box and contents just weren't there.

The parts kit arrived A-OK.

It actually arrived the day before it was sent.

I just have to fly over the International Date Line from east to west some day.

I bought an ASUS Rampage IV Extreme to put in the new 900D. I always wanted one.

I just need to rent an engine lift now to put this case atop my workbench and get started on the build.

Looking for a 4x4GB quad kit of Corsair 2400MHz memory now.

Thanks RAM GUY. As always, you're the best!

That's what I had in mind.

I'm running a set of Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR-2666 right now on my ASUS Maximus V Formula.

Here's a CPU-Z validation I just took: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2829748

I just set the XMP in the BIOS, then go back and OC the cpu.

4.6GHz is just what I run everyday for gaming and general usage.

I've had this particular cpu up to 4.8GHz, but the Corsair H100 topped out the temp. at 100C and I immediately shut down.

Not a very good Ivy Bridge CPU, but too good to burn up.

Haswells run even hotter so I'm skipping that generation. That's why I went with a Sandy Bridge set-up for this new 900D.

The only safe way to OC a Haswell is to delid the cpu and run the core cooled directly with a full watercooling system.

Delidding is a too dangerous (and possibly very expensive) gamble and just isn't worth it.

I just ordered a set of Corsair Dominator Platinum as you suggested.

The set running CAS 10 was sold out so I went ahead and bought the same set but running CAS 9.

I hope my new motherboard accepts this since I also found a set that cost only $344.99 with free 2 day shipping.

I also ordered the cpu Monday, an i7-3930K that was only $432.38 including shipping, where Newegg wanted $569.99 for the exact same cpu.

I'll be using a cpu cooler from Be Quiet that I've had stashed back for prooofing newly built computers and if everything goes well I'll go ahead and install the full watercooling system I have ready and waiting for install.

Including either my pre-watercooled ASUS ARES II or go ahead and install the blocks on either my EVGA GTX 690 or the pair of EVGA Titans I'm running, on air, in my present build.

I'm still studying as to whether I want or need to go ahead and watercool the motherboard itself, as well.

I have 4 500GB SSD's ready to use so I guess I'll use a pair on this build along with a single 3TB hdd for mass storage and backups.

I also have a complete Corsair Link kit I'd like to install if I ever figure it out. A nice set of instructions never made its way to being added to the Link kits so it'll probably be a little slow going as I try and figure out the kit.

This new build is going to be very interesting for me and I'm already enjoying it even though the 1st screw has yet to be turned.
