ekulie
Hi all, Recently got myself a pair of Corsair Vengeance 1500's and I seem to be running into a couple of issues. Whenever an application uses the microphone (Skype, games, windows recording devices menu) I get a constant high pitched whine coming through the headphones. I first noticed this on the default drivers after plugging it in straight out of the box. I then downloaded the 1.1 drivers from the corsair website and finally managed to get them installed after battling my way past Windows Smartscreen. However the problem still persists making the headset unusable. If anyone could offer a proper solution that would be much appreciated as I've seen talk in different threads about reverting to old windows USB drivers and the like. Call me entitled but I hardly feel that should be necessary when I've just dropped £70 on these things. I know that you are likely to suggest an RMA but I have seen people in other threads receive their 3rd set and still have the problem, so is it possible it is a fault with the product itself? In addition to this, I have noticed a rather high amount of 'hiss' in the background when testing the microphone in both Skype and Windows. Is there any way to reduce this at all as it's rather annoying for the other members of the call. Cheers guys!

Click on the 1500 headset and enter properties, click on the levels tab and now mute the microphone. This should stop the mic playing back through the headset.
