Hopper64
I am thinking of both a 100i and a 1200i PSU for my new build with an Asus Maximus VI extreme, but the case uses both USB 2.0 headers. Where would I plug in the H100i and the 1200i? Thanks.
wytnyt
what do you mean the case uses both ports,,the front panel? if so you can easily get a pci card with multiple usb ports[i have 2 in a build]or in one of the threads theres a internal usb hub that fits inside the case ill see if i can find the url. here you go http://www.amazon.com/NZXT-IU01-Internal-Expansion-Black/dp/B0031ESKJA
Hopper64
The case has two 10-1 pin connectors for 4 USB 2.0 ports for the front panel. On the Maximus VI extreme, there appear to be only 2 USB 2.0 headers. These would be occupied, so I can't connect the 1200i and the H100i. So I should connect 2 of the NZXT products in your reply to the motherboard, and that would give me 6 internal 10-1 pin connectors I guess. Thanks. That would solve the problem. Any other options? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 23, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 23, 2013 You can do this a few different ways, the easiest way would be to purchase a internal USB Hub that would give you 4 more ports for internal USB devices. Or purchase an adapter to adapt the H100i to connect to an external USB port and connect the PSU to the IC2 connection on the H100i
Hopper64
Thanks. I just looked over the NZXT part. That will do it. It will give me a total of six internal 10-1 pin connectors if I buy 2. No problem. Thanks for the help.
wytnyt
if i had thought ahead i would have bought 2 of these instead of using cards and then my air flow would have been less interrupted but least i can do is help others not make my bad choice
