ithehappy
Hi guys. I am Logitech G9 user for more than 4 years now, and have been extremely happy with it, but recent problems with it forcing me to change it. And if not Logitech there are very few brands I could consider, Corsair is one of them, don't really have any trust on those new coming brands. See I am palm gripper, and I like the mice to be light weight. I have rarely used any weight cartridge on the G9. And I play mostly FPS/TPS games, like Battlefield, COD, Max Payne etc. and some adventure games like Tomb Raider and all. So if I think right that I should avoid M90 series and look at the M60 series or the M4 maybe? So out of M60, M65 or M4, which one to get and why? Oh, I definitely need the side buttons (like on G9 I used those so frequently as back and forward and in games to change a weapon or something), and an option to remove weights would be great to have. Another thing is, continuous/precise wheel option like G9, but I think Corsair mice don't have any options like that? Btw the size of my palm is 11 cm / 8.5 cm. And for normal usage I use 1000 DPI and for gaming same, for sniping occasions it's either 400 or 600. Thanks in advance.
tomaladisto
Get the M60/65. Maybe a cheap M60, if you find one, since you use low dpi anyways. Be aware tho, that the mouse wheel does a bit of noise if you shake or move the mouse very fast, and since you use low dpi I assume you'll be moving the mouse fast a lot, and it might become a bit of an annoyance. I have no ideia if it's the same on the M65. If you like light weight mice, I'm pretty sure you'll like the M60. The mouse doesn't have a continuous scrolling option, sorry. Also, the side buttons are smaller than in most mice and, depending on the person, they can become a bit hard to "find" in the heat of the battle, if you know what I mean. But for me, the only real downside of the M60 is that the mouse wheel doesn't have side scrolling. Other than that, I'm very pleased with it. ithehappy
Thanks. I think I can bear little noise, as long as it's not very loud! Small Side buttons will be okay too after adapting it, but no continuous scroll is a deal breaker for me. Is it only M60 or no smooth wheel in M65 or M90 too? Also is there option to attach/detach cartridges on M65 or M90?
tomaladisto
If by "attach/detach cartridges" you mean customizable weight, then yes on the M60/65 and no on the M90/95. A unibody aluminum frame is the secret behind the M60's low weight, high rigidity, and optimal mass distribution. It also has three adjustable tuning zones, allowing you to customize your mouse's weight to have just the exact feel you want. As far as I know none of the Corsair's mice have continuous scrolling. Also, if for some reason you don't like blue LEDs, the M65 Military Green has orange LEDs.
ithehappy
I don't have any fascinations on LED colour actually, anything will do. I was leaning for the M65 until I saw a topic saying 'M65 is worse than M60' in this forum. Anyway, I think I will just grab a M60. But one thing though, is this Mice not as durable as the M90/95, because M90/95 are labelled as 20 mil clicks, but the M60 is not, so I guess the M60 is of inferior in build quality than the M90/95? tomaladisto
The M60/90 have switches rated for 8 million clicks, and the M65/95 have switches rated for 20 million clicks.
ithehappy
Thanks sir. Ah, I wish they had 20 mil clicks too. Btw could you possibly tell me the weights of these units, M60, M65, M90, M95? Are Amazon specs correct? Oh, any comment on the sensor of the M60? Will it better than my current one (G9)? TIA.
NothinPersonal
Sorry to cut in on the thread, anyone know how does the M95 compare to the Razer Mamba 2012 other than it's not wireless? I'm looking for a performance wise answer and for someone that has worked with the Mamba 2012/M95 to give a definitive response. I have the 2012 but when I happen to use multiple clicks in the heat of a battle say for like BlackOps 2 some of the clicks don't respond on-screen. It's disappointing for a mouse priced at that amount.

ithehappy
I have no idea, hopefully someone else can help you with that. No problem. What's the exact weight of the product, with and without weight cartridges? I have been trying to find it but it's mentioned nowhere!
tomaladisto
Excluding the wire, I'm getting ≈133g with extra weights and ≈112g without them.
ithehappy
Wow, thanks. I won't use the weights, at least not at first. 112 grams is just great, at least 30 gm lighter than my G9, cool.
