K90 - after most recent Windows 8 update, Windows key was disabled

I use that key for shortcuts all the time, so it's kind of driving me crazy.

 

I've isolated the problem to the K90, because I've got a couple other keyboards that still register that key just fine with this computer.

 

Has anyone else encountered this problem and do you know of any direct fixes or workaround? Any help would be much appreciated.

(I've searched around and I couldn't find this issue as related to the K90 or a general windows 8 problem - but I've seen the issue occur for specific logitech and MS gaming keyboards, so I'm hoping it's a software issue that's fixable)

So I reflashed the update that Corsair had released and it's all functioning like before.
