wytnyt
idle temps vary from one build to another, even the slightest task will increase it,more important are your load temps.
peanutz94
Kaay, if you are not overclocking your system then, yes those temps would be a ittle high. I would try reseating the pump head with new thermal paste and see if your temps are any better. Also make sure the pump is running around the rated 2000RPMs in your BIOS. Bryman
idle temps are a LITTLE high (barely even over 5C higher than normal) check your load temp and post voltage and clock speed and what your using to make the load thanks
kaaay
I did the resetting yesterday and the temps stayed the same, as for tim I used ice diomand. Its nice a snug no movement in the CPU block atm i don't plan to O/C and its running at stock settings. Did check the rpm in the bios and its running at its 2000RPM. When I get the time later today I will prim95 it on full and get you those temps.
Bryman
ya just run some small FFT on prime 95 on 12 threads and do that for about 5min and list the results IC diamond is some good **** or intelburntest either one works really...on my laptop intelburntest works best but on my desktop small fft and intelburntest are about the same...actually on my desktop small fft is best because it doesnt have to go through accumulating the memory which isnt 100% load...anyways either intelburntest or small fft on prime 95 is good

peanutz94
IC diamond is some good **** Just an FYI you can use what you want but Corsair does not recommend the Diamond or ceramic based TIM's because they can ruin the surface of the cooling blocks. Just about any other tim would be okay though

peanutz94
Because of the coarse particles contained on the paste. If you would like I'll dig up the thread for you
