Problem with M60 Sniper button with Assigned Application and other stuff

I got the M60 a few months ago, and I've been loving it. I just recently discovered the Application Assignment feature under the Manage Profile tab for the software.

 

However, I'm having problems with the sniper button when switching using this feature. Other buttons switch fine, but the sniper button does not work when switching with the application assignment. However, when manually setting the profile, the sniper button works fine. Is there a reason/fix for this?

 

Another more specific problem I've been having is I have a side button set to Tab, but pressing it in Skyrim does not open the menu. Has anyone else encountered this?

Make sure the profile is saved to the M60 and hardware playback is enabled. Then try the side button assigned "tab" and see if it works.
